About WAM

Growing up as the youngest of 7 in a rather 'out there' family of performers, it came naturally to me to, well...perform! Mum and Dad were both singers and dabbled in musical theatre, 3 of my brothers played guitar, sang and another was a sound engineer. Creativity, noise and music have always been a massive part of my life.

I grew up idolising Annette Funicello on the Mickey Mouse Club and dreaming of being the next Sally Boyden on Young Talent Time. But Tasmania, the apple Isle of Australia was so isolated from the 'mainland' in those days and not many opportunities were within my reach as a child, to further my dreams.  This is one of the reasons I love being able to help kids along with their careers.

Tassie allowed me to stretch my muscles in theatre, singing, voice over and TV commercials and I gained a B Ed as a Drama teacher. After marrying a muso (well a drummer...) moving to Queensland and having 2 gorgeous kids I started spending lots of time on TV/film sets. Yes, my children also have the performance bug.

Now I juggle mummyhood with teaching Performing Arts, voice over work, acting, singing and whatever else presents itself. I'm excited to help young people find their feet in this industry and only wish I'd met someone to do the same for me when I was younger.

My motto: creating is living :)
